GAT Sneakers and Tabi

Margiela’s two signatures are both borrowed. The German Army Trainer is a near-copy of a 1970s Bundeswehr gym shoe, and the Tabi split toe comes from Japanese workers’ footwear. The four white stitches on the outside of every garment are the only branding, and they are deliberately removable.
